Supporter's - Right
Besides athletes, Athlete Support Personnel (ASP) play a role in collectively fighting against doping to promote cleaner sports. The World Anti-Doping Code specifies the rights and responsibilities of athlete support personnel and others. The Code clearly outlines the roles and responsibilities that athletes have regarding anti-doping.
The rights and responsibilities of Athlete Support Personnel are as follows:
- Knowledge and compliance with all relevant anti-doping regulations
- Cooperate with athlete doping control processes
- Use their influence on athletes' values and behavior to promote positive attitudes toward anti-doping
- Disclose decisions by non-signatory organizations that the athlete has violated anti-doping rules within the past 10 years to the Doping Control Agency for Sport (DCAT) and International Federations (IFs)
- Cooperate with anti-doping organizations investigating violations; sport support personnel must not use or possess prohibited substances or methods
- Take opportunities to learn about prohibited substances through the Doping Control Agency for Sport (DCAT) or other organizations
- Create a sporting environment promoting anti-doping and encourage participation in sports events or activities that promote clean sport
